So I'm just sure how this just happened. A co-worker of mine just sent me an email to my Gmail account. But here's the catch: It's labeled from 10 years ago. But in my inbox, it has the correct date. Any idea on what happened here?

"It's labeled from 10 years ago."

"Labeled"? What is "labeled"? Labeled where? How is it shown? Using what client/version on what platform?

If you look at the e-mail source, does the "Date:" header show as?

Keep in mind that, for any email, two different things like send date & time and receive date & time. If your co-worker somehow put the sending date/time of past in Date headers, But at the receiver end it is not possible to manipulate the receiving date/time. While receiving date/time sets by the receiving mail server. Perhaps, in your case, the email shown the current time but the sent time shown in past. It is better to ask your co-worker for this mail that s/he sent and check the details at his/her end.

Did he forward an old email?? IT may still be showing the original date in the header or body of the email but have the correct date in your inbox because that is when your server received it.
