No sound nor SIM card detected

I have a Samsung J5 from 2015 (earliest version) and I really need help. Yesterday I let my phone die out of battery, something I rarely do, and once I charged it a bit I turned it on to see that my SIM card was not being detected. I’ve inserted another SIM to test and it still was not detected. Have wiped cached data and now I even factory reseted it as a last resort. And now after I got it reset I notice that it plays no sound at all. No sound from music, alarm, YouTube, Facebook etc. If anyone knows please help me. I might lose some contacts and I’m expecting important calls. Thank you.

Samsung J5

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

Try turning on the phone in SAFE MODE.  It may be that a 3rd party app is causing problems. Worse case is after a factory reboot, add them one at a time and see which one kills the audio.

Try to make a hard reset and while it installs the OS again (probably Android) and then check. If not check the battery also.

When you changed the battery, is this an original Samsung battery? First of all you can take all necessary backups like photos/files etc. For contacts, if you set it earlier on Phone, then contacts will be also backed up. You can do it without SIM card also. Before resetting, contact a service center of Samsung and ask for help.

I hope this will work for you:

    Restart your phone.

Or, in the end if nothing works format your phone by having a proper backup.
