New monitor affecting Wi-Fi

A week or so ago, I bought a new monitor for my desktop. Everything worked fine until recently when I set the refresh rate (I believe its 144hz). Now my desktop can't connect to my Wi-Fi (but it's showing). So when I decreased the refresh rate back down, the problem went away. Is my new monitor affecting my Wi-Fi / Internet connection?

Strange issue. Never heard this type of problem that a Wi-Fi can be affected by monitor or VDU. Basically monitor is a separate hardware that is not even related to Wi-Fi or network connections. Only the resolution may effect on software like word/Excel or desktop icons. Or sometimes high resolution monitor ray may cause for this issue, though chances are very few. However more details are required like OS/router model or make etc.

Strange. You may be getting interference. How close is the monitor to the wi-fi router? You may want to try and move one or the other and see if the problem goes away.
