Gaming issues on the same network

My brother and I game competitively on CoD (PS4), but we get many issues from playing on the same network (I think it's the origin of the problem) because I've read that it causes many inconveniences when we want to party up and play duo ranked in WWII. We have a Huawei HG8245H router with 40Mbps (download) and 5Mbps (upload). The question is: Is there any way to fix the problem, or should we get two different routers and get connection plans for 20Mbps (down) and 3Mbps (up) each? Maybe this could help us play together? We've tried port forwarding, UPnP and DMZ. This happens mostly when playing CoD: WWII.

I'd like to add that the problem happens only when we want to search for games only by ourselves, if there's someone else hosting everything works fine. The thing is that we can't even find lobbies when we want to play duo ranked matches without getting disconnected.

"Should we get two different routers and get connection plans for 20Mbps (down) and 3Mbps (up) each?"- yes, upgrade your plan may be helpful. Though you ask the provider before going for it.

Upgrading your plan does help. Also, have you tried connecting both systems wired and not using wifi on other devices why you play.

Before making any changes, have you taken any network throughput metrics? Do you have any real data to base decisions on?
