I am developing software in C# using .NET 2 that needs to detect whether there is an Ethernet connection on a Windows machine, as the program will behave differently if accessed by Ethernet instead of WiFi. The only thing I can think of doing is to use System.Net.NetworkInformation.NetworkInterfaceType, but it tends to ready Ethernet cards as WiFi. Are there better tools I can use?
