I purchased a laptop approx 8 months ago. No one has used it but me. I went to log on to Facebook last night and when I clicked into the spot to enter your email address, a drop down menu popped up with 2 mysterious emails I have never seen before. Has someone hacked my laptop or facebook?

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

If you have never keyed those address in any site before, run a virus scan immediately on your computer. There are a few good free ones out there like MWAV and Malwarebytes. It might just be an auto-fill feature of the browser loading them but better to be cautious.

We have no way to know if anyone "hacked" anything of yours. We'd need physical access to the laptop in order to be sure. But it's unlikely anything was "hacked".

Malware of some sort, however, is a fair possibility. Running scans with a couple good anti-malware programs is a good suggestion for a start.

First you can clear the cookies of your browser and set it like that after closer the browser (whatever it is) it should clear all immediately. Don't panic, hopefully there is no hacking.

For safe and relax, it is better to scan/clean the system by using MWAV (a small tool). After download you can boot the system in Safe mode and run this utility. No installation is required. Select all the drives with full scan option. Also uncheck or remove 'Remember Password' from the browser.

Another question that just came to mind, did you purchase this new or used?
