Mysterious battery removed from tablet

Tags:
Batteries
I have acquired a battery that I believe was removed from a tablet with a broken screen. However, I've googled almost everything written on the battery, and I cannot find anything about the battery itself. I would love to know what it came out of, and what it can be put into, and what it's worth. Going forward, how can one figure out the original device that any battery was made for? And, if I have an accumulation of batteries, where can I send/put them? Thanks, so much for your help.

Actually how did you get this battery, you just believed, that it is meant, you are not sure? How can one say either this battery is usable or not and how much its worth without seeing it? It is better to carry that battery to mobile (as you mentioned, tablet) repairing center and ask the same to them. They are in better position to help you. Or invoke the official website of the vendor/ manufacturer of the battery and supply the details of the battery, this can also helpful.

Where I used to live, they had a LOT of technology laying around that was broken. They LOVED buying things cheaply on things like "OfferUp" and then would just toss it into the pile when they had no immediate use for things.

They told me to dig in when they saw how interested I was in dissecting everything... bbbuuuuuutttttt, I was so excited that it hurt my organizational skills at the time.

Now.... I don't remember what kind of tablet I pulled it out of..

Is there not a giant database online or something that I can plug the serial number into? The top of it says Model: NKS.

As you mentioned, "NKS", probably it is Lava NKS tablet, and perhaps this was launched in the year 2015 (if the guess is OK). You can check the battery with a Lava authorized center Or link here, and check if that helps: http://www.jabra.com/support/warranty-checker
