My phone was hacked by a person. He had sent me an APK file and unfortunately i had installed it. That person had access to my phone for a long time. Now i had brought a new phone. My question is that Can i use the same sim card in my new phone and If i install Whatsapp  in my New phone. Will that hacker have access to my new phone and Whatsapp and Other social apps in it that are connected with my number?

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

Not knowing exactly what the APK did he may have gotten the passwords to your accounts. My suggestion is login and change them ASAP from a clean and secure device like a PC or laptop. This may keep him out, but it’s not a guarantee. Hopefully he has not gone in and changed them on you or used the password recovery and changed the contact phone number to his phone. SIM cards are not interchangeable between all phones. However, they are designed to be swapped among phones offered by the same carrier such as AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, and others

Since we don't know what any "hacker" did (nor even if anything was done), we have no way to know what might come from it. And without knowing your old and new phones nor your carrier, we can't know if the SIM card will work. Nothing will cause trouble if you try it and it fits cleanly in the new phone.

There should be no reason to switch phones. Have the old one cleaned properly, change your passwords, make sure your various recovery options are set correctly and you should be good.

Why did you install the App? Was the person trustworthy for you? Have you tried to uninstall the App? Exactly what is its function?

If you did feel that your phone is hacked, immediately you have to change all of the passwords including social media & email. If possible you can stop using phone for few days.

As you mentioned APK, assuming this is an Android based mobile phone. Generally If a phone is compromised then this is a lot of responsibility to secure it first. Here is a good help, please take a look here, https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/6294825?hl=en
