Hello Experts,

I am cannot open my MS-word.docx  document.
The error it get is White space expected:Part:/word/docment, XML,Line,2 Column:642733.

I've tried everything I can think of! Including:
Saving it as a .zip file. Which it won't
Saving it as .txt: Which It will-  But no help.
Looking at it in word pad: Still no help.

How can I find:,Line,2 Column:642733. and correct it? or at least save what Ive written to that point.
I have no idea what happened to cause this other than the flash drive didn't update on my last save...

Please please Help.. hours of work were invested....

 Thank you

Save the Document to Another File Format, and Then Convert It Back to Word

This method is the most complete document recovery method. Always try this method first.

And 2nd try Word On-line repair service will analyze the content of a *.doc, .dot, .dotx or *.docx file in seconds and will allow you to preview recoverable text.  Link: https://onlinefilerepair.com/en/rtf-repair-online.html

Another way, copy all content  –> past notepad and again copy past word file.

MS office itself has a repair utility, Have you tried with that. If yes & nor worked, just try to open the same file in open office/ libreoffice. Sometimes it can be helped.

If you are getting errors and I see the error message has XML in it, I would check to see I there is any templates, special formatting or other custom features of this document that may not be supported any longer.

You can also try to save the file (if somehow opens on Libre office/Open office), then save as .doc format. And then try to open the file on Office 2010. Else you can try to repair with a 3rd party tool, however most of the time it is not fully satisfied. Better you can rebuild the file again.
