Moving from IT help desk to Lotus Domino server team

I am working in IT helpdesk from 5 years. I troubleshoot Lotus Notes client issues as part of help desk activities, like configuring the client, map the databases on workspace, create archivals/local copies. On server level I create/delete/rename users. Now I want to be a Domino administrator. How should I start the journey? Will taking a course and clearing the certification get me job in domino server team? Please let me know what skills I must have to be part of domino team.
