We have a Redis server that's running on a cloud instance but now we're trying to migrate it to a new cloud instance (and actually use it as our new Redis server). I know in MySQL that I would just need to export the database and import it to the new server. But how can we do this through Redis? Appreciate the help.

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

Have a look at this Python script for example: https://github.com/RedisLabs/redis-migrate and the accompanying post: http://redislabs.com/blog/real-time-synchronization-tool-for-redis-migration – essentially, with this approach you can move your Redis database virtually w/o downtime.

However, if downtime isn’t an issue, just to a SAVE/BGSAVE and use the resulting dump to restore on your new server.
