Microsoft Word: Remove padding above large text

At the top of my Microsoft Word document, I have a fairly large title (the font is 32 I believe). But because it's so large, Word added extra padding above and below the title. This is making the page margin look very large and I don't want that. How can I remove that extra padding?

If understood correctly, click anywhere to select it. As you wanted to remove the padding, select the cell or cells. Now right click the selection and choose Table Properties from the options. In this dialog box choose Table tab. Now select the Cell tab instead. Click the Options button at the bottom of the window to bring up the cell margin settings. Now you can change the left, right, top and bottom margins of the cells. To eliminate all of the cell padding, change all the settings to zero.

You can try highlighting the text in question and set the style to normal to remove the padding. I have done this when copy/pasting text and the padding made it look double spaced. You might also try another font / size.
