Microsoft Outlook alert when employee goes on vacation

Hi, In Outlook 2013, could I possibly set up some alert (perhaps a week in advance) that would tell me when my employee goes on vacation? I just need to know so I can setup my schedule around that. Thank you.

Use the outlook calendar and set it up as an appointment. The set the reminder to 1 week or longer. Then when you get the reminder you can snooze it for say 4-8 hours and get reminded daily.
