Inside of the Microsoft Excel Developer Tab, I just added a form control checkbox. But, under properties, the option to "move and size with cells" is completely grayed out. I'm not sure how to activate it. Any suggestions? What can I do?

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

Found two possible fixes

Since 2007 the ‘Move & Size with Cells’ property has been grayed out.
If you right click on a control, that will bring up the Drawing Tools tab.
Click on Format, then at the far right click the small arrow in the Size area (under Height & Width)
Then click on Properties, and there you have it!!

if that does not work you can try this one

1) Add One more extra Checkbox (You can delete this later)
2) Now select both the checkboxes and Group them (You can UnGroup them later)
3) If you now click on format control you will see the “Move and Size with Cells” active. Select that if it is not already active.
4) Un Group the Checkbox’s and delete the 2nd checkbox.
Now your checkbox will *”Move and Size with Cells” 🙂

It sounds like you created checkbox by using the forms checkbox. Instead of that, Click View > Toolbars > Control toolbox & then create the control from there the move and size option may be available.
