Microsoft Excel just did an update a few days ago on my laptop and I noticed a few features have changed. I'm currently trying to count the ranges with specific text within a cell. Here's the formula I usually use:
=COUNTIF(range,"(asterisk)text(asterisk)")
But that's not working anymore. I removed the quotes but that didn't work. What can I do here?

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.
According to the Office support site it should still work

=COUNTIF(A2:A5,”*”)

Counts the number of cells containing any text in cells A2 through A5. The asterisk (*) is used as the wildcard character to match any character.
