Meetings in Outlook not showing as tentative

I have a staff member who is having trouble creating tentative meetings among multiple people.
She creates a meeting, invites all attendees and sends it out. Previously, these would show up in her and her attendee's calendar as a faded tentative meeting. However now they are showing up in her and her attendee's calendar as a solid, "accepted" meeting.
She does not recall making any settings changes. I realize that by default, outlook is set to show all meeting requests as tentative until they viewed. How would I go about restoring this default setting?
