This could be open for debate, but, degree or not, having a background in some programming skills, especially Powershell, will only enhance you resume.

    Not so necessary, but depth knowledge of networking is required.

    It's not required but it can most certainly help. I studied computer engineering and assembler and C were an integral part of the program. I wouldn't trade what I learned for anything. That being said, it all just depends on what you want to focus on with security. There's the operational side and the technical side. Still, the more computer and network education the better.
