RPGLE
Hi all,
I have seen an RPGLE file containing only one data structure with a couple of fields nothing else. The fields of the data structure are being populated from a data area and this file is used as a copy source in another program and values of the fields are extracted there. I don't know how this RPGLE file (of Data Structure) was compiled without *INLR = *ON indicator. When I tried same I got error.
Thanks,

The issue with copying source is you need to make sure that the library it reside in is in the library you are trying to compile your source. If interactive, check DSPLIBL if batch compile check the JOBD. If that does not help can you post the code so we can take a look?

This is probably used as a /Copy or /Include directive in other programs.  When the compiler runs, the first pass is to copy identifed members into the source before any compile processes are done.

Thanks philpl1jb for your valuable suggestions. I am now succeeded. I was trying to compile that file. Now I just create it and when I use it in my code it responded as expected. Thanks again.
