As a beginner select the correct path, you should not repent later for not using a good oppurtunity!!!
Mainframe systems are being replaced by the SAP systems. With this itself u can understand SAP has better oppurtunity 😉 there can be some systems left out at the end… For those systems u’ll be supporting…. if u r in mainframes.

Package wise also SAP Consultants earn more. U can opt for SAP if u get an oppurtunity….

Thanks vinodh, Currently I'm put into a development project in mainframes. I'm yet to start my work ,finished my training. I don't even know weather there is any opportunity for me in SAP, which seems impossible. Can you please suggest me what should I do to change my platform. Your suggestion will be of great help to me. Could you please tell me about your current technology at work and experience.

Shifting to a new technology purely depends on ur interest.... U need to learn the new technology and if u have any oppurtunity in ur organisation it will be easier for you to shift... it will be some wat difficult to shift to a new company in a new technology...U have to be trained again...

It will be really better if you actually decide on what you actually want to do. After decided you can if possible try to invest your company's time and money to learn and switch rather than yourself trying to learn and switch. It is always better to switch in the company in which you are employed. In other company they will have to give a training all over again and that will no doubt be a tiresome job for them and they will not approve of it.
