What I have:
this is one transaction in a parking garage. 4 columns, 3 rows
Date/Time     Movement          *blank*               Ticket Number
Facility         *blank*               Car Park             System Device
Card             *blank*               *blank*               $ Amount Remaining
Most of the files that i start with will look more like this though:
6 rows, 4 columns.
Date/Time Movement System Device Amount
Remarks Car Park Remain'g Value
Card Facility
Ticket/Card Type Serial Number
User ID No. Users
Ticket Number License Pl.
What I need to do with a macro for ~50,000 transactions per file and 7 files, is put all the info on one row for each transaction in any order as long as the date is in the first column.
Some cells will be blank.
Here is an example of what I need. this will also be the first row of the document after the macro has run. The order does not matter as long as the first cell is the Date/Time.
Date/Time   |   Movement   |   System Device   |   Amount   |   Remarks   |   Car Park   |   Card   |   Facility   |   Ticket/Card Type   |   Serial Number   |   User ID Number   |   Users   |   Ticket Number   |   License PI.   |   $ Amount Remaining.
I need all of that info to be moved onto a new worksheet or the same worksheet but have it all one the same row. I have never used macros before but I have been reading about them. I just have no idea where to start for this assignment.
