MacBook will not during on after dead battery

Last night - my MacBook pro was around 15% when I put it to sleep. When I woke up this morning, it's not turning on at all. I plugged it in but it's still not turning on. The light when green on the charger. What should I do?

    When you said you put it to sleep, did you just put it in a low power mode or turn the device off?? If in a low power mode, it may have totally drained the battery and damaged it. Try leaving in in charging mode for a while and see if it will power on. If not report back and we will see if we can help.

    It seems that, something like battery related problem is there. You did not reveal how old is your macbook. Suspects that, something/ one application has to be running in the background which is preventing it from truly sleeping. Check if any application is running (else system apps) when it is in sleeping mode. Also check settings to see how this sets up the energy saver preferences.
