I have a MacBook Pro (a few years old) and when it's not plugged in, the battery drains so fast! I looked at the advanced battery menu and it says the condition is normal (so I don't think it's the battery). What is actually draining it? Any ideas?

What do you mean by fast , less than an hour, 2 hours?. Older batteries may show normal but they are degraded. They don’t last forever. It may be that the battery cannot fully charge back to the capacity it was when it was new. Try getting another battery to replace it. Other than that you may want to see if adjusting your display properties can help. Things like turning down the brightness for one.

You can try to update and check if that helps. For Mac/App Store updates, open App Store from the Dock/Finder. Now click Updates at the top of the window. Next click Update next to each app that you desire to update, or click Update All. Provide Apple ID/Password if asks. Try using Safari instead of other browsers.
