NSFDbOpen: File ‘C:LotusDominoDatanames.nsf’ is CORRUPT in Lotus Notes

I need the help with Lotus Notes! When I start the application, I receive the following message: "NSFDbOpen: File 'C:LotusDominoDatanames.nsf' is CORRUPT - Now. How to restore it?

If you simply rename the names.nsf file to something like oldnames.nsf, then Notes will recreate the names.nsf file upon startup. Then, if there are contacts that you would like to salvage from the old file, you can try running a fixup on it.

    If you had taken backup of your Lotus Notes database, you may restore your mailbox from that. If not , than you should try to fix this issue run Fixup, Compact and Updall utilities as follows:

    1. >>fixup –f : This command will check all the documents in the database for corruption
    2. >>compact -i -c -d –K : This will delete view indexes , ignore errors and set set large UNK table
    3. >>updall –R : You may need to rebuild view indexes after recovery  using updall command
