First take a backup of that file in another drive r same drive in another folder

first take the path of lotus notes like that if your lotus mail file path is like that

c:\program files\ibm\lotus\notes

just take a path to the notes file

now opened the page where archive file is saved file first write the command

like c:\program files\ibm\lotus\notes > nfixup.exe (file name)

and then press enter , the command prompt will ask for user password

enter user password and than press enter after completing the process from cmd than again new line will see like

c:\program files\ibm\lotus\notes >

then enter second command

c:\program files\ibm\lotus\notes > ncompact -i -c -d -k (file) than press enter

again cmd ask password then enter password , command prompt will start the process , after completing again new line will see like that

c:\program files\ibm\lotus\notes >

...my engineer has misunderstood and overwritten the file...   If an archive was overwritten, it is not a corruption issue. It can only be recovered from backup. If there is no backup, then there is no recovery. There is no help.   Tom
