Logical Files
Hello all, if I change a logical dds and recompile it only with the physical. Do I need to recompile the program, because I check the program has the same file level identifier as that of newly compiled logical.

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

If you add any new fields/change attributes to Physical file, then only file level identifier will change.

Otherwise, any change to logical file will still hold the same identifier as PF. No need to recompile the program unless it affects the key set or logic which needs program change.

Did you get a level check when you ran the program?

You will have to recompile if you get a level check when trying to run the program. It depends on what was changed in the LF source. There a very few changes you can make that will not require the program to be recompiled.
