    It depends. What are the database file attributes? What exactly are you needing to upload? Will you upload Excel rows into individual database table rows or are there only certain cells to upload? If problems have shown up, what are the system configuration elements controlling network data transfers? What driver are you using for the transfer?

    Other questions may depend on those answers. The "right" way for you to do it can come from a lot of possible alternatives.
