I am looking for a solution. I have a Linksys with ddwrt firmware. I also have a Dell powerconnect 3324 switch. I want to connect the CSU/DSU to the linksys so that I will have a firewall/dhcp/nat etc.. and then into the switch so that I can plug clients into it. Can anyone explain what I need? or how is the best way to connect these? Thanks

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

In order to connect your T1 line to your network you will need a device such as one of these Cisco Routers with a WAN card. Then it is just running an Ethernet cable from the WAN card to your upgraded Linksys device, then to your switch. Your T1 supplier should have given you the necessary information to configure your router, and I’d image they would be will to help you get it set up and running. As an alternative to the modified Linksys router, you might want to look at this program. It will give you a few more options for configuring your network.
Good Luck!
