I’m currently using the Asus-ROG-GU501GM (Gaming Laptop), and I can’t find information on how to upgrade the cpu. Could someone help me find what CPUs are compatible if any at all with my laptop. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/asus-rog-gu501gm-15-6-gaming-laptop-intel-core-i7-16gb-memory-nvidia-geforce-gtx-1060-1tb-hybrid-drive-128gb-ssd-brushed-black/6207900.p?skuId=6207900 (Link to laptop).

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

According to the pecs you have a decent CPU now. Intel Core i7-8750H. There is a site the list compatible CPU’s of which there would be 2 upgrades.

Core i7-8850H =  $ 395.00
Core i9-8950HK = $ 583.00

To see the ranking of the CPU chips check out this site for the high end CPU

Is this laptop branded new? Is the laptop under warranty? Why are you going to upgrade CPU? Is there a notification or something like instruction through the system? Have you taken all necessary backups?

    More information is needed.

Have you registered this product on ASUS's official website? It is a good practice to register product according to their manufacturer. This can be helpful to get support from original manufacturer & you can get quick solutions. For more information, please link here, https://www.asus.com/supportonly/GU501GM/HelpDesk_Download/
