Hi all, I know this is a basic issue but it's bugging me. I recently changed my Internet provider but I'm always losing my connection now. I'll be on for roughly a half hour and then it disappears. I reset the router but the problem still persists. What's the best solution here for me? Thank you!

I had a similar issue when I had Verizon DSL. It ended up being the modem. I called them and they sent a new modem/router combo and the problem went away. Another possibility is what type of device you are using. If it’s a laptop or mobile device you will most likely have dead spots in your home with a weak wi-fi or no signal at all. It get worse depending on the number of walls and floor the signal has to pass through.

Impossible for us to say what your "best" solution is. We don't have your laptop, your router nor access to your connection. We know nothing about your ISP. Two reasonable things for you to try are changing to a different ISP (perhaps go back to the old one) or call the support people at your new ISP and ask them to fix your connection.

As you mentioned, you asked for new internet provider, was the connection established properly before changing that. Probably some kind of misconfiguration is there. It is better to call the same provider (current one) and ask for help.
