Konica Minolta Bizhub di1610 won’t print on legal paper

Network printers
I'm not sure if this is the proper forum for this question but I'm out of ideas. We have a Konica Minolta Bizhub di1610 printer. This printer doesn't have a built in NIC so we used an Axis Communications Network Print Server connected to the parallel port to get it on the network. It works fine when people print on normal paper, but every time someone tries to print on legal size paper the printer stops working. The print job seems to get stuck in the network print server's internal queue. No one can print to the printer again until you open a browser, connect to the network print server and restart it (or pull the plug).  I don't know if it gets stuck because of an issue with the print server, or if it gets stuck because the printer doesn't like what's being sent to it. We don't have the manual for this printer. The Konica website has a manual but it is in Chinese. I need to know if this is an issue with the printer or with the network print server and how to fix it. Thank you.

Software/Hardware used:
Konica Minolta Bizhub di1610, Axis Communications Network Print Server, Microsoft Office 2003

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

I suggest you go to:

You can find manuals there, contact KMBS, and get drivers. The manuals I saw were in English for the di1610p and di1610fp (did not see di1610 without suffix letter).

If your computer is not communicating correctly to the printer then it could be holding and waiting for further direction. You may just need to clear out the print cue instead of restarting.

Let us know how it goes. Good luck.

Thank you for your help. I navigated in circles around the Konica website trying to find manuals. I only ever found a Chinese one. I'm going to try out a few things regarding the paper tray settings and paper type settings tomorrow. Thanks again.

I'm having the exact same problem with a Konica bizhub 362 Printer but not sure what the problem is. This printer is a network printer. It worked fine for teh 1st 6 months now it does not want to print anymore until you shut the printer off then back on then it spews out all the print jobs at once then your able to print 1-5 more jobs before it stops printing again until you need to shut the printer off then on again. you gave me some idea's though on the type of paper maybe thats what is affecting my client from printing, Otherwise their other network printer works completly fine and so doe sthe rest of the network. but this is their new main printer and the leasing company just wnats to blame everything but their printer.
