Is there any way possible to obtain the key code/password that the administer of a keystroke logger would have set when he/she downloaded the logger?

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

It’s highly unlikely, unless they have not modified the application if it was straight downloaded app. If they wrote the code themselves it will be much harder. It’s best to just remove it.

Thanks, but I have removed it more than once now. I ran Process Explorer from Microsoft, found it, and killed it. Checked back a day later, it's back again. Killed it again, and I found the same thing the following day. I tried killing the process tree yesterday, thinking that that might do the trick, but sure enough, it was there again this morning! Could you give me an explanation on this? How can I completely remove this keylogger?

Sometimes it helps if you boot your computer in safe mode. Then run your anti-virus program. Sometimes you may need to run more than one. The databases they use for what to look for must be up to date as well. A couple good programs that are free are Spybot Search and Destroy, Malwarebytes and AdAware.

Okay, I will try that. Thank you. I had already ran Malwarebytes and Gmer late last week to check for rootkit activity, but neither found any such thing. I will one of the others you suggested.
