Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

Try the keyboard on another computer if possible. If the keyboard  works and is not an issuer, check the event log in the system for the times it freezes. Maybe the USB driver is crashing

Check the settings specially of Wake up/ sleep mode for keyboard. Sometimes manufacturer's makes special mechanism for the same like HP/ Compaq.

Far more detail is needed since there could be hundreds of reasons. All related entries from various system log files need to be posted before we can even make reasonable guesses.

Otherwise, have a qualified technician review the system.

Restart your system in Safe mod and check if that happens again. Also check your system with good anti virus.

It could be just about anything. Misconfigured device, interference, weak battery, bad port, power management... and the list goes on. You can try using a different USB port and see if it still happens. Without seeing the logs like Raven mentioned we can only guess at a few of the more common solutions. If you have a common occurrence or can recreate the issue, provide as many details as you can.

Sometimes drivers uninstall/ reinstall can work. You can open Device Manager and uninstall the driver of keyboard (be careful & be cautious) and the OS installs the driver automatically after restart. Assuming this is a Windows OS,
