  • Journal code R (record-level information entries).
  • Journal code U (user-generated entries).

    The "Answer" gives a very limited subset of codes and a link that is out-of-date/obsolete for current AS/400-series systems, although it's fairly accurate for versions of OS/400 that ran on older systems that were actually named "AS/400". Since the question title refers to "AS/400", maybe that's all that's needed.

    The OP should tell us what version of the OS is involved. We might have a better answer, with codes that have been available for over a decade.
