What are the logging levels of the job?  Is it resident in the subsystem?

When was the last time the message queue was cleared? It's either this or too much is being logged like Splat mentioned. This should be done as part of your housekeeping. Another thing is run periodic IPL's to help clean up other system features.

Best option is to change the job so that it doesn't send so many messages to the joblog. That might be done by fixing problems that cause messages to be sent or by changing program code that generates messages to code that doesn't, e.g., by calling APIs with reasonable Error Code parameters.

Otherwise, is a wrapped joblog a problem?

The Joblog Wrapped message indicates that (some) jobs are generating such an amount of messages that the Joblog space is constantly getting filled up. Probably it is one message repeating over and over again. It might prove very helpfull to check such a wrapped joblog and see what messages are being generate by the system. That could help finding the cause of excessive messge generation and help you find a solution to stop those excessive messages being generated.
