Job Dependency across LPARS

J1 scheduled to run in lpar - lets say L1
J2 scheduled to run in lpar - lets say L2
Here my requirement is J2 should start run after completion of J1. Can we make this dependency across the LPARS? I am using CA ESP tool to schedule the jobs.

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

Have your J2 job submitted to a JOBQ that is on HOLD.

At the end of your J1 job and a SBMRMTCMD to RLSJOBQ on LPAR1.

Also change your J2 job to do HLDJOBQ either at the beginning or ending of the job.

I have used this technique for job dependencies in a single LPAR and across 5 different machines.

If you need finer control than just releasing everything on a JOBQ, then try SBMRMTCMD to SBMJOB JOB(J2).
