We are printing jobs from our OUTQ to RICOH and they are good. But we're experiencing issues when trying to account jobs per user. When we go to printer panel we have job info/details and user/owner field. But here we can't see our system logged in user, so we cant see which user printed that job. Do you have an idea to implement it? Thanks!

Have you checked that all system connected correctly and software which you used to track user who prints from system also connected properly from Internet

May be reason behind is that your LAN connectivity having problem or software might be don't work

If you want that kind of information you should check out job accounting. If I am not mistaken produced spoolfiles can be extracted from there.

I seem to recall something about V7 changing the communication between the system and networked printers with some mention of details like user IDs included in that. But that was a few years ago and my memory isn't what it used to be. If I am correct with that, I would look at the memo to users for the V7 versions.

But we're experiencing issues when trying to account jobs per user.

Is this about retrieving account info from the printer itself? Or are you asking about retrieving account info about printing from your iSeries server?

I the name of who printed the report is for distribution purposes, why not just print a cover page?

It doesn't seem for distribution, but rather for printer usage accounting. I'd expect that either the specific printer model is needed to see if any members use the same or that Ricoh Support might be needed to provide an answer.
