I have a table in a test environment and need to update the same name table up in a production environment. This would be any table and here are things we won't know. We do not know if there is a key, field names, or what was changed. It could be any file. so this has to work for any table. I used the EXCEPT to find the change between 2 tables in different environments, but struggling with being able to update the change. Especially since this must work for any table and any change to a table.

In order to work for "any table", you must create a dynamic SQL statement every time. Your program will build the statement in a string variable and pass the variable to the SQL PREPARE and EXECUTE functions.

You can do this dynamically, but it seems to be a strange request. Can you explain the need and/or business logic behind this. IT seems like you could do this much easier on the i-Series side and eliminate the risk in updating the production files.
