Is there any advantage to using RAID with SSD?

We have a pretty good idea of how to apply RAID to spinning disks, and can appreciate the different kinds: RAID 0,1,5,6,10=1+0. I was recently at a presentation where a large document repository was being built exclusively with SSD, and no one had any comment on RAID. Do we have a good understanding of the failure modes and statistics of SSD? Is there any benefit to use RAID?
