Is there a way to have read/write/modify but no delete access in folder?

Is there a way to remove delete access? I'd like to have a folder where users can save & modify files, but not delete them. File-system permission don't work as delete is required in order to update/modify a file (temp-file is used in background to swap in when saved). Is there a way to do it with gpedit? Or do I need a domain group-policy? Thanks.

Is it a office environment, as you asked for domain group hope so, if you are a general user, you can't, while ask sys admin person. As the tag indicates windows server 2008. Did you want to remove permission for active directory group on 2008. Please back with more details.
