Is there a model MP3 player that is reliable?

I've bought many MP3 devices over the years. Some quite expensive such as the Finis swimming MP3 and some for just a few dollars. Generally they can always be recognized by Windows and material initially downloaded. But all of them eventually will not be recognized by Windows (any version) and become junk to me. I've unsuccessfully followed YouTube programs about making Windows recognize the devices. IS THERE A MODEL MP3 PLAYER THAT IS RELIABLE? Thanks, Silas

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

I have had good luck with the Apple iPad NANO.. IT my be a bit pricey but it seems to be more stable that some of the others out there.  My wife has a SANSA brand mp3 player that still works great today and we have had it about 8 years now. That one has done a lot of airport traveling and holds up fine.

Yes, Apple iPod Touch (6th Generation) is obviously is a better choice. Though you can consider for Sony brand also for cheap than Apple products. As you asked for 'Reliable'- if a product tests with several different genres of music across several different file codecs, with several different pairs of headphones & if it is performed admirably.
