An IP is an address just like your home address. If you find your friend's home, then you must ask the address for locate the house. So, just like this, IP address is such a thing, that helps to locate a device's address that is its location/ region etc. in brief.

However, you did not mention what is issue or what exactly you want. However finding an IP address depends on OS type, device type etc. Please provide more details for help us to assist you.

Note that your IP address is practically useless for you to know. It's most likely a 'dynamic' address that can change at practically any time. And there's really nothing you (nor just about anyone else) can do with it. The IP address of your system is almost certainly different from what is used across the Internet due to NAT, etc.

If you're paying for a 'static' IP address, you should find it as part of the documentation for your site.

In general, almost all users use IPV4 address while very few are using IPV6. Mainly the concept depends on TCP/IP. However using this protocol depends on either dynamic/ static. Though already asked for more information to get correct replies.
