I primarily use Internet Explorer most of the time. I just noticed that in the settings, the connection tab has disappeared. My machine is connected to the domain. Any help would be great.

"My machine is connected to the domain."

That normally implies office/business/school networking. In that case, it has probably been disabled by policy and you can't do anything about it unless you're the admin.

Please clarify "domain". Also, 'Internet Explorer' is mostly irrelevant; what we need more importantly is the version of Windows.

This is because of your network policy in the campus wherever you are. Check with your network administrator.

Yes, you can check group policy by typing gpedit.msc on search program and files box, but you have to admin rights to making change all of that. It is better to ask your sys admin person who can help you in a better way.
