So here's a question none of you experts have probably seen before. Is it remotely possible to install Visual Basic 6 (yes, I said 6) on a Windows 10 machine? I need to revive and move an old application from an XP machine to a new PC. I don't think this is possible but I wanted to check before I bring to my boss's attention.

According to Microsoft…

The VB6 runtime will ship and will be supported in Windows 10 for the lifetime of the OS. Visual Basic 6.0 runtime files continue to be 32-bit only, and all components must be hosted in 32-bit application processes. Developers can think of the support story for Windows 10 as being the same as it is for Windows 8.1.

Is it your problem to install VB6 on Windows 10 remotely or is VB6 still supported on Windows 10 OS? In both cases yes it is possible. Still VB6 can be run on Windows 10. While install remotely, it is necessary to have administrator rights to install the same and the remote system is properly configured to get the machine by remote procedure. While syntax of VB.NET is almost similar to VB6 and you can try to get VB.net for better results & rich applications.
