Move INI file from main drive to secondary drive

Can I move the INI file from the main drive (c) to a secondary (c) drive to save space and still have my computer working normally, this to save space on the (C) which is getting low?

    .ini files generally use for setup information which helps to install software driver manually. However, you can move them if your computer works normally after reboot. From where did you get these files.

    The .INI is usually an initialization file for an application. Moving it to another drive may prevent the application from running.  Besides, .INI files are usually very small and not a concern when it comes to disk space. You problem with available space lies elsewhere.
