IFS Access using Windows 10

For the last 3 years I've been able to access the IFS using my Windows 10 account firstname.lastname@outlook.com with no problem. We recently hired a new using who required access to the IFS using Windows 10. The new user, nor myself can access anything on the IFS with the outlook.com login, but we can both access it if we sign in with a local account which uses the same profile and password as our AS/400. If I try to connect using different credentials it doesn't work either. Does anyone know how to connect to the IFS using an Outlook.com sign in. - Thank You, DLM

Whatever your "AS/400" is, it's not ever going to have a clue about your "Outlook.com sign in". That's for Outlook.com and Windows. It's not for "AS/400s" nor any of the later systems after "AS/400s", nor for Linux or Unix, nor for IOS, nor for... well, not for anything else.

It might be possible to use it, though, if you implement a Single Sign-On solution. Not sure because using Outlook.com as an identity source is a very tricky direction. It's not clear at all how it actually interacts with your network resources.
