I seem to remember way back when there used to be a program/CLP that would identify User-ID's that had the password the same as the User-ID. Does anyone remember anything about that?

I'll have to check that command out. I know users here forget their passwords a lot, especially if they set a new one on a Friday.. Even if we sign on as QSECOFR we cannot tell them what their current password is we can only reset it for them.

We've had the same issue. It's because password are one-way encrypted, then stored. When you enter a password the system encrypts what you type and compares that to the stored (encrypted) password. (I love the security on this box).
