I just need to know what’s the problem

So I have a Samung galaxy J7 pro. The lcd screen broke so I decided to experiment with it. I bought a genetic screen and decided to install it myself. Everything was going great until I tried the new one. When I connected the screen into the phone, the screen is still black. What's the problem? Do I need to connect something else or might the screen be unusable?

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

Tough to tell. It could be a defective screen or still have a compatibility issue. Check out some of the You Tube videos on the screen replacement process. Maybe you forgot a step.

It could either be something else or the new screen might be unusable. It's practically impossible to diagnose electronic issues through an Internet forum.

Most probably the screen might have problem. As this is a hardware part, something good is heard to tell from this side.

The new screen might have compatibility issue. Check the part number.
