Allow user to run AS/400 commands

I have limit capability enabled for a user, but I need to enable him to run few commands, which is not able to because of Limit capability parameter set as *yes, Can I  get him to execute certain commands in spite of limit capability parameter set as *yes. How can I do it?

You could always put the few select commands on a custom menu for the user. Then grant him access to this menu. This should work as long as they do not need true command line access.

    Remember to use adopted authority for the Menu Processing Program. USRPRF(*OWNER) and owner of pgm has to have authority to execute the commands.

    Depending on what the commands are, changing the profile from LMTCPB(*YES) to LMTCPB(*PARTIAL) might serve your purposes.

    I created a CLP which calls the menu. Created CLP with adopted authority but it still does not work.

    Thanks for all the advise. It worked. I created a Command whose CLP executed the command which was not executing for users having limit capability *yes in their user profile. While creating the command used *yes for Allow limited users parameter.
