I have created an user profile as a model ID, that ID supposed to created for password reset. Now user is not able to reset password, ID created same as model ID. However model ID is able to reset password. User is getting error, while doing password reset as "not authorized to program RESETPASS in uamlib. Uamlib is current library of user ID.

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

Even if it’s in their library the may not have authority to the commands being used.

What password restrictions do you have in place? Why not just use the IBM CHGPWD command if the have command line access. The other option is to change the profile and set the password to expired. This will force the to reset it the next time they log on.

Thank you very much for the response. Can you tell me how to check and how to find the authority? And how to correct it?

If you have the authority to program RESETPASS and are authorized to use EDTOBJAUT you will be able to see who has access to the program and even change that.
