    Huge question:

    Is anyone not getting a log on screen-or just you.

    If it is everyone-Call support and report as a level 1 priority (system down), they will want you to be where they can talk to you while you are at the console. This could be:

    -Network services (STRTCPxxx) not started

    -QINTER sbs not started

    -routing error in the network

    -system has a major system error

    -If you are restricted state for backups - is the backup still running? Does the backup have an error?

    -system is off  (before you call IBM check for for SRC error codes on the system--via the console-- you will want to give them that info)

    If it is just you:

    -is your network connection operationg (plugged in, can you get to the web, etc.)

    -double check the values in your client config.

    How are your devices set-up? Client Access or other method? If you are not seeing a log in screen either the connection is bad or the device may be varied off or conflicting with another device. Is auto config on the i-series turned on? Is the avoid duplicate names box checked if you are using client access? Can you ping the IP address you are trying to connect to? Report back and let us know.

    Another possibility : How do your Subsystems Allocate devices ? Are there workstation entries for *ALL or do they have to have specific names ?
